This project implemented a fully integrated automation system centered around a Rexroth ctrlX PLC platform. The gantry system was modified and updated to support high-precision handling, while a FANUC collaborative robot (cobot) was deployed for pick-and-place operations. Parts are transferred into an AI-powered vision inspection system capable of detecting defects as small as 50 microns, ensuring highly accurate quality control throughout the process.

The completed system brings together advanced motion control, robotics, and AI-driven inspection into a single streamlined workflow. By combining these technologies, the solution improves throughput, reduces downtime, and delivers consistent product quality, demonstrating the potential of intelligent automation in modern manufacturing environments.
